Therapy
Often making the decision to get help is the hardest thing, so, pick up the phone and let’s have an informal and friendly chat to see if I can help. I’m happy to talk with you over the phone and that conversation will only cost you the price of the call!
I originally became a therapist because I wanted to help people to overcome their problems. I'm always pleased to see so many of my clients feeling so much better, usually far quicker than they thought possible.
It’s my passion to help people get back in control of their lives and to help people like you to be free from what’s concerning you, or holding you back. It’s important to find the right therapist for you and I encourage you to look around until you find the one that looks, sounds or just feels right for you. If you feel that I’m the right therapist for you, then please get in touch. I'm always happy to have a chat and to discuss how I can help you.
About Me
Firstly, it is really important to know that I am a fully qualified and a licentiate member of the NCH.
I have been trained to the highest standards. If you take time to look around the internet you’ll notice that there are many ways to become a therapist, some much easier than others and training standards vary a lot.
When I realised I wanted to become a therapist I wanted to ensure that after I’d finished training, I could actually help people and not simply have a certificate on my wall. I was trained by the world famous therapy trainer, Trevor Silvester of The Quest Institute.
I started out my working life in business and spent many years in different marketing jobs. Unfortunately I came to find this unrewarding and realised that I wanted to get home in the evening and feel like I’d actually helped someone for the better. As a therapist I’m able to do this every day.
You’ll find me welcoming, understanding and very able to help you with many, many issues. Have a look below to see the sort of things I can help with.
I constantly keep up with the latest developments and advances in my field of expertise and do this so that I can help you with whatever works best for you as quickly as possible.
Additionally as a member of the NCH I am bound by their Code of Ethics and their requirement for constant personal development. This means I have to keep training in the latest research and development and understanding of psychology, neuro-science, behavioural therapy and lots more therapy fields.
I’m very well experienced in working with a variety of people in a sincere and caring manner.
What Is Therapy?
I’ve found that there are lots of people with misconceptions about what therapy actually is. This is probably because of what they’ve seen on TV shows or read about in the news papers.
‘Cognitive’ therapy is a modern form of therapy that takes advantage of the latest that science and research has to offer and that actually works! I am not limited in my approach to therapy as the range of therapeutic knowledge and training I have extends across CBT, NLP, hypnotherapy, Gestalt, psychotherapy and much, much more.
You’re will always be in complete control and will be treated in a caring and professional manner at all times.
The good thing about this is that you know that you are always aware of what’s happening and you’re never being controlled. The bad thing is that like all types of therapy, there’s some work for you to do. You make the changes, I simply help you see the way.
Essentially what I offer it is a set of procedures or interventions that allow you to retrain your brain to think about things in a different way in order to achieve what you want.

People I've Helped
Due to recent changes in our Code of Ethics I am now able to offer testimonials in my website. I’m constantly surprised by the gratitude that clients show to me after therapy and am genuinely humbled by their very kind words.
Possibly the most rewarding part of what I do is seeing the change in a client when they get what they want from therapy and start feeling better or changing fare more quickly and easily than they thought possible.
I hope to have some video testimonials up on the web site soon, but in the meantime please look at these:
Childbirth
"Just wanted o say a huuuge thank you. Planned to do this earlier but have been quite busy!!! I woke up Thurs morning with pretty bad back ache but ignored it and carried on my day Thurs night I thought eek think it's happening. Stood up and huge contraction. My partner managed to pile my son and me into car. Manically dropped my son off at his aunties then dashed to general hospital. WAS TURNED AWAY as they were full. At this point I was on all fours. In between contractions got in to car. Drove all the way across Leicester during contractions. Ken taught me 3 techniques to deal with this pain. I went through them one by one. Piling each technique on top of the other to help make it bearable. I made it to Leicester Royal and pushed out baby Layla 7pound 1 ounce 7mins later. MASSIVE THANK YOU FABULOUS KEN" - Kezia
Confidence & Nerves
"Ken, I wanted to finally THANK YOU for the help you have given me with my Confidence and Performance on stage. Having been performing for over 10 years and suffering with nerves at every gig I can now say that I NO LONGER GET NERVES! What a thing! I didnt think it was possible and thought that nerves were just part of the whole performance thing. Looking back I now realise that I didnt really enjoy performing until it was over and then I would be flying high at my achievement! But what shame to have grinded through the performance instead of enjoying it while it was happening. I am now a completely different performer and I now have sooooo much more confidence and LOVE EVERY MINUTE of being on stage! If only I had this much belief in myself 10 years ago. Thanks for giving me the gift of self belief and all those gig since our sessions when I have given the performance of my life!" - Gemma
Relaxation, Pregnancy & Health
"Hi Ken, Am listening to the relaxation download now, I like the soothing backgroud music. Thanks for all the great work you are doing with our Healthy Pregnancy group, they really enjoy the support you give them. See you in two weeks!" - Eleanor
Sports Performance
About Ken - "He's done a lot, he's helped us out, particularly myself. He's made us enjoy the game a lot because when you sign a pro contract it becomes serious and sometimes when things don't go well you get down on yourself. But he's really shown us to smile and enjoy it more." - Cameron Rundles (Leicester Riders Team Captain)
Exams, Learning, Memory Recall & Stress
"Thanks Ken!!! I didn't know how I was going to get through my first year of exams at Uni, but you got me through it. Now I'm about to do my final exams for my third year and I can't even remember what I used to get so stressed about :-) Thank you." -Chantal
Anxiety & Panic Attacks
"My anxiety disappeared after seeing you. It was a life changer! It completely gave me my confidence back. I would 100% recommend Ken's therapy for anxiety. Every month or so I might feel anxiety coming along, but I can deal with it now. Before it was 3/4 even 5 times a day? Thanks!" - Samuel
